About Us

Welcome to Ashton Hayes Theatre Club

Founded in 1958 by Kay McLaren (click here for her in memoriam), Ashton Hayes Theatre Club has been a cornerstone of our community's artistic life. For over 60 years, we've brought engaging, high-quality productions to the stage, and we’re proud to continue that tradition today.

Our Productions

We stage two to three plays each year usually at the Tarvin Community Centre (where most of our rehearsals are held), offering a variety of roles both on and off the stage. Our productions are a team effort, and everyone’s contribution is valued, whether you’re acting, directing, or working behind the scenes.

Join Us

We’re always looking for new members, from seasoned performers to those just starting out. While we currently don’t have a separate youth section, we welcome young talent to participate in our adult productions. No matter your experience level, if you’re passionate about theatre, there’s a place for you here!

Get Involved

Our club is run by a committee elected by our members at the Annual General Meeting, and every member’s input is important. By joining, you’ll become part of a supportive community that shares your interest in theatre.

Our Network

As members of the Cheshire Theatre Guild (CTG), the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) (District 4), and the Clwyd Community Theatre Association (CCTA), we’re connected to a wider network of theatre lovers, which brings additional opportunities and inspiration to our work.

We invite you to be part of Ashton Hayes Theatre Club, where your passion for theatre can truly shine.
